Change is a fact of life for everyone. It may be sudden and traumatic, like some of the examples I have given. It might be slow, like the changing of the seasons, or even slower, like the gradual erosion of a mountain face, but almost everything changes.

I say almost everything very deliberately. God never changes.

Like the fictional Blue Brothers, you  and I are on a “mission from God.”

Our calling is from God, and our destination is secure. The vista before us is ever-changing. We are secure in the Lord, no matter what we face along the way.

We sometimes claim salvation is by faith, but live as if it is by works.

I don’t believe that God was content for humanity to live in the Garden of Eden.

Don’t wait passively for His return.

May an understanding of what it cost Him to atone for our sins make us more reluctant to sin and quicker to repent. Thank God He did the atoning “once for all.”
