Time is a strange commodity

Some people want just enough Jesus and have no real room in their hearts

At times in life, we can feel like islands. God seems a million miles away, and the world’s problems surround us.

Gold, silver and other shiny rocks always get my attention. I frequently look at the ground when walking to see the pretty stones. I have been like that my entire life.

There were several things Charlie never left home without. Charlie carried a roll of brass snare wire, a sharp pocketknife and a hunting knife in a sheath on his belt. In his pockets were a couple of bandannas, numerous boxes of waterproof matches, a small candle and a compass. He kept some fishing line, flies, and simple hooks in an old breath mint can.

I’m all for keeping safe; ultimately, my true safety and security are in feathers. Yes, you read that right; it is in feathers!

People have a lot in common with birds, including the need for some sort of home. The nature of that home can vary greatly. The choice of where and how we live are important decisions.

The idea of Christian fellowship has been on my mind a lot of late. It is a vital but often misunderstood concept.
