Issue 1524 – Trapped – August 13, 2024

That is a good metaphor for the way sin works. We see what we desire, and before long, we are trapped, unable to free ourselves. Once trapped, we have no one to blame but ourselves.

Issue 1517 – Hope in Troubles – August 6, 2024

Those of us of older generations must show the younger ones by word and deed that all is not lost. There is hope for them, and they have a crucial role in God’s plan. They have a hope-filled purpose.

Issue 1516 – Morning Mist – August 5, 2024

The retreating mist made me think of death. Just moments before, it had obscured the view of what lay beyond it. Now, I could get a good sense of what came after.

  Yesterday, I had a song stuck in my head after writing about Song Sparrows.
