Issue 1328 – Merry Christmas – December 22, 2023
The Christmas season is fully upon us. We can get so busy that our eyes are taken off the Christ at times, but by God’s great grace, we return to think of him, at least at times.
We debate the date of his birth and quibble about the details of the nativity narrative. I know I’m guilty of that in my desire to get the story straight to understand the whole truth. At times, I can get lost in the weeds and forget the bigger picture,
Still, we celebrate Him.
Prince of Peace
Wonderful Counsellor
Mighty God
Messiah
Christ
Son of Man
Son of God
Saviour
Redeemer
and so much more.
God incarnate in human form.
The joy of the parents
The praise of the angelic hosts of heaven
The wonder of the shepherds
The star
The magi and their gifts for a king.
There is so much to celebrate and ponder in our hearts.
God of hope
God of joy
God of peace
I will be taking a break for Christmas and returning on December 27. As we journey through the season’s final days, I wanted to offer you and yours a Merry Christmas.
Allow me to offer you and yours a blessing…
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Romans 15:13
